A polymer O-ring is fit into a groove in the lid of each Pelican Vault case. This provides a weather resistant and dustproof seal to protect your gear.
Comes with a multi-layered solid polyurethane foam insert, which is also removable. Use a utility knife and cut out detailed shapes in the layers to create custom-fit compartments for all your gear. Simply trace out your items and start cutting the foam.
The convenient push-button latches found on the Pelican Vault V100 - Small Pistol Case are sturdy and easy-to-use. The press and pull design ensures the latches cannot be accidentally flipped open during transport.
Covers replacement case or parts (handles/latches, etc) if damage occurs within 3 years. Does not cover the cases contents or foam.
The Pelican Vault V100 - Small Pistol Case case has pad-lockable hasps so you can secure your gear in a locked case using a standard combo/keyed padlock or TSA lock.
(Locks not included with case)
A hydrophobic membrane in the valve ensures air molecules pass through while keeping water molecules out.
Your case stays dry and the air pressure inside remains equal to the outside air pressure—preventing a vacuum lock from forming when transporting your Pelican case between altitudes.
The Pelican Vault V100 case is an excellent low-cost, durable case for your expensive equipment. Whether it be a handgun, electronic device, or piece of sensitive equipment the Pelican Vault V100 will keep it safe.
So is the Pelican V100 waterproof? Well, we can't officially say "yes" because Pelican did not go to the expensive of getting a waterproof certification for any of the Vault Cases. However, we can tell you that all Pelican Vault cases, including the V100, are built with a rubber o-ring in the lid and an automatic pressure purge vent (with a 3 Micron Hydrophobic Non-Woven membrane inside) on the front. So this suggests that the case is at least air-tight, which may ultimately suggest it could also be watertight as well (but we can't officially tell you that).
